Digital Telemetry Systems
Our range of digital telemetry systems having built in battery
or coil generated power supplies use modular constructed
telemetry bricks enabling the telemetry units to be configured
to fit to the end of an engine rotor shaft, inside the rotor shaft or
around the rotor shaft.
Robust modular construction allows us to configure the units to transmit a variety of combinations of dynamic and static strain, temperature, pressure and vibration signals by carefully selecting the appropriate bricks. Shaft speeds up to 100,000 rpm are standard and special designs exist for aero engine flight applications. All units are fully spin tested and calibrated in our factory prior to despatch.
Our units are suitable for use with power gas turbines and aero engines, including fan engines, and other rotating machinery such as automobile axles and turbo chargers.
Our units avoid the need to use slip rings.
The use of our uniquely designed intermediate bearing assembly (IBA) enables rapid attachment of airfoil sensor lead out wires to the telemetry unit system and, for the end of shaft and inside shaft designs, the telemetry unit can be transferred from engine to engine by the use of another IBA without the need to purchase an additional complete telemetry system Please use the menu on the left to view our standard designs for the telemetry units that we manufacture.
