Experimental Engine Part Development Rigs

Thorough engine validation can require the need to design and construct special rigs for development purposes. Rotadata can supply a complete engine development rig design and manufacturing service to enable the test and monitoring of engine components. Extreme care is taken when configuring the rigs to minimise the effect of the intrusive instrumentation on the flow conditions of the parts being tested to ensure the delivery of data that is as real as possible.

Rotadata have more than 20 years experience in providing, installing and setting to work rigs for supporting gas turbine engine developers. Our extensive instrumentation knowledge enables us to provide development rigs for testing a variety of gas turbine engine fans, compressors and turbines. Special purpose rigs, e.g. de-icing rigs, can also be supplied.

Using engine instrumentation expertise built up over many years enables Rotadata to offer complete design, manufacture, installation and set to work of engine part development rigs for use in testing all rotating and combustor parts on aero-engine and industrial gas turbines.

We have supplied fan, compressor, turbine and combustor rigs for many aero-engine and gas turbine parts testing together with providing specialised rigs such as ‘de-icing’ and rapid acceleration/deceleration structures all aimed at providing our customers with the latest in instrumentation technology and measurement techniques.
