Optical Smoke Meter: Construction
The meter consists of a Sample Module and a Control Module unit, both self-contained and stacked in 19” wide rack mountings.
Normal operation of the meter is through a simple, menu driven, LCD display and keypad built into the Control Module (see opposite). The high contrast display allows manual operation of all electromechanical components and provides constant read-out of system status.
The meter front panel carries needle valves and flow meters to allow gas and air to be adjusted and gives access to gas and air filters. The front panel also provides access to the smoke cell for cleaning and installing an optical calibration filter.
