Instrumentation of turbocharger impellers operating at very high speeds is making the news. Attaching strain gauges onto impellers operating at high temperatures and for rotational speeds up to 130,000 revolutions per minute are now standard procedures at the Rotadata Limited Derby factory with the applied instrumentation having life expectancies of up to 20 plus hours of operation.
Coupled with our HyperTel telemetry system, a complete turbocharger analytical measurement system is now possible.
